Associate Instructor Certification
The Equine Facilitated Learning and Coaching (EFLC) Associate Instructor training program is designed for individuals who feel a calling to work with horses and humans in a profound and transformational manner.

Individuals who enter this program wish to:
- Incorporate EFLC sessions into their already existing business (coaches, teachers, counselors, therapists, etc).
- Become certified in EFLC at a slower pace than the Approved Instructor status.
- Apprentice with Kathy while studying with other teachers in the field.
- Learn facilitation skills to partner with certified EFLC instructors.
- Have a Mind Body integrated coaching methodology to apply into their teaching approach or horse instruction/lessons.
The Structure of the EFLC Associate Instructor program includes:
- Two Onsite training meetings (Level One and Level Two), 6 days each, approximately 4-6 months apart.
- Horsemanship skills and horse care for equine learning programs.
- Mind Body Method Coach Training - The Basic Model and Coaching the Vision.
- Six Months of Wild Herd Membership.
- Three Private Coaching sessions (phone) with Kathy or one of her associates.
- Six Months of group coaching with Kathy
- Manual
The six-month EFLC Associate Instructor training program focuses on developing you from the ‘inside out’ to be the best, clearest and most effective facilitator of individual equine based learning sessions. The horses teach you how to be a solid facilitator for others by supporting your growth in areas of emotional agility, presence, personal power and heart-based leadership.
You may attend an equine program at the farm in Longmont, Colorado, Tucson, Arizona and various places around the world. Check our Calendar page for upcoming locations and dates.
Level One
February 5-12, 2012 - White Stallion Ranch, Tucson, Arizona
May 19-24, 2012 - Coaching With Horses, Longmont, Colorado
July 21-26, 2012 - Haras de Baudemont, Ittre, Belgium
Level Two
April 13-18, 2012 - Coaching With Horses, Longmont, Colorado
After you complete the EFLC Associate Instructor Certification you:
- Receive a certificate of completion.
- Are approved to facilitate individual sessions.
- May support an Approved Instructor in a group setting.
- Are welcome to enroll in the Approved Instructor Track (and attend Levels Three and Four).
The Associate Instructor program is for those who want more than the Level One, and who may not be ready to dive into the full Approved Instructor program.
We highly recommend that you read Hope. . . from the Heart of Horses before applying for this program.
The Associate Instructor program is highly experiential and transformational. Individuals interested in this program fill out an application and are interviewed by Kathy before being accepted into the program. Email for a detailed document with program dates.
